Apple can remove the activation lock as a last resort, providing that the customer can prove without a shadow of a doubt that the phone is theirs. they will absolutely not budge if the customer fails to show proof of purchase.. Apple doesn’t charge money for icloud removal per se. apple only will remove icloud lock from an ios device if you have irrefutable proof of purchase and a photo id.. Timeline. process takes up to 10 business days to unlock a device in activation lock mode by apple, and if proof of purchase is needed then please allow an additional 5 working days for the service desk to process..
